Terms of Service

Welcome to Desi Switch (“Desi Switch”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing our website, creating an account, or renting any item, you agree to these Terms of Service.

If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

  • Eligibility
  • You must be 18 years or older to place an order.
  • You must provide accurate and complete information at all times.
  • You must have a valid payment method.
  • Account Registration
  • An account is required to rent from Desi Switch.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activity conducted under your account.
  • Ownership of Items
  • All rented items remain the sole property of Desi Switch.
  • Renting an item does not transfer ownership.
  • Rental Agreement
By placing a rental order, you agree that:
  • The item is rented for a fixed rental period.
  • You will return the item on or before the stated return date.
  • Failure to return the item on time may result in additional charges.
  • Payment Authorization
By completing checkout, you authorize Desi Switch to:
  • Charge the full retail value of the selected rental dress at checkout.
  • After the item is returned and inspected, deduct the rental fee (and any applicable fees) and refund the remaining balance.
  • Charge additional fees (if applicable) for:
  • Late returns
  • Damage (minor or major)
  • Loss or non-return
  • Missing included items (such as the Desi Switch hanger and garment bag)
  • Late Returns
  • Late returns may incur daily late fees as outlined on our fees structure page.
  • Continued failure to return items may result in:
  • Charging the full retail value
  • Account suspension
  • Further legal or collection actions if required
  • Damage, Loss & Non-Return
  • Normal wear is acceptable.
  • Damage beyond normal wear will be assessed and charged.
  • If an item is lost, stolen, or not returned, you authorize Desi Switch to charge:
  • Up to 100% of the item’s retail value
  • Right to Refuse Service
Desi Switch reserves the right to:
  • Refuse or cancel orders
  • Require additional verification
  • Suspend or terminate accounts
  • If misuse, fraud, or policy violations are suspected.
  • Delivery Issues & Responsibility Window
Desi Switch is not responsible for:
  • If your item arrives damaged or incorrect, you must report the issue within 24 hours of delivery with video evidence.
  • Claims reported after this window may not be eligible for replacement or refund and will be handled under standard return and liability rules.
  • Limitation of Liability
Desi Switch is not responsible for:
  • Event cancellations
  • Fit preferences
  • Minor color or style variations
  • Carrier delays beyond our control
  • Cancellation Grace Period (Reference)
  • Carrier delays beyond A 48-hour grace period after order confirmation applies to rentals and purchases (see our Cancellation Policy for details). control
  • Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA.
